Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: January 2025
💡 The Short Version
Some links on CreditBoostTips.com are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for a product, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products we'd use ourselves, and we prominently feature free methods that don't pay us anything.
How We Make Money
CreditBoostTips.com is a free resource. We make money through affiliate partnerships with financial companies. When you click certain links on our site and sign up for a product or service, we may receive a commission from that company.
This commission comes from the company — you never pay extra. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the company's website.
Our Editorial Standards
Our affiliate relationships do NOT influence our recommendations. Here's how we decide what to recommend:
- ✓ Free methods first. We always lead with strategies that cost nothing. Experian Boost, authorized user strategies, DIY disputes — these don't pay us a cent, but they're often the best options.
- ✓ No predatory products. We refuse to recommend high-fee credit cards, payday lenders, or expensive credit repair services — even though they often pay the highest commissions.
- ✓ Honest reviews. We disclose the downsides of every product we recommend. If something isn't right for you, we'll say so.
- ✓ We use these products. Our team has personally used or thoroughly researched every product we recommend.
Products We Have Affiliate Relationships With
In the interest of full transparency, here are the companies we may earn commissions from:
| Company | Product Type |
|---|---|
| Chime | Credit Builder Card |
| Self | Credit Builder Loan |
| Kikoff | Credit Line |
| Discover | Secured Credit Card |
| Capital One | Secured Credit Card |
| Credit Karma | Credit Monitoring |
| Experian | Credit Monitoring |
| Boom | Rent Reporting |
This list may be updated as we add or remove affiliate partnerships.
Products We'll Never Recommend
Some companies pay very high commissions specifically because their products are designed to extract money from vulnerable people. We refuse to recommend:
- ✕ High-fee subprime credit cards (Credit One, First Premier, Indigo, etc.)
- ✕ Expensive credit repair services ($100+/month)
- ✕ Payday lenders or high-APR installment lenders
- ✕ CPN or "credit sweep" services (these are illegal)
- ✕ Tradeline selling services
How to Identify Affiliate Links
We try to be transparent about affiliate links. You'll typically see them:
- In product comparison tables with "Sign Up" or "Learn More" buttons
- In product review pages
- Near disclosure notices like "This is an affiliate link"
If you're ever unsure, assume any link to a financial product could be an affiliate link. We'd rather over-disclose than under-disclose.
